CUSTOM FURNITURE
Specializing in mixed material builds for outdoor furniture, we’ll build what you dream. Whether looking for a table for two, the perfect lounge chair, a whimsical piece that kicks off conversation, or a banquet table for 20, we can help.
Material Sourcing: We look to source from local suppliers. The majority of our lumber comes directly from our neighboring high desert mill. Steel is sourced from Tusker Metal, our local steel purveyor.

The Process

It all begins with an idea. We're here to help sculpt that idea. Either a phone call or site visit will kickoff review of the initial scope of work, budget, and design direction.

Each site and project is unique. We begin with careful consideration of site conditions, the surrounding environment, and project goals to develop design. We work in close collaboration with you, the owner, to ensure your dream is realized while working within any constraints posed by site.

Prior to beginning any project, whether this be the submission of plans for permits, the breaking of ground, or our beginning work in the workshop (typical for custom furniture), we'll finalize design direction. This may involve finalizing plans from an architect and/or engineer, or a final site walk to solidify plans on smaller projects.

Depending on project scope, we'll help with or handle the submission of permits.
If your project doesn't require a permit, we'll provide you with an anticipated schedule and, following review, break ground on an agreed upon day and time. -
Prior to firing up the table saw or flipping on the welder, we'll send along an update that your build is about to begin and will reiterate expectations for timing.

Our goal is to ensure you always feel you're able to ask a question, regardless of the question. We'll keep you up to date on your project with timing updates, pictures (if off-site), and a weekly check in.

Most projects, particularly those done on-site, present challenges to the plan. If a change is required in design or timing, we'll work closely with you to ensure the preservation of your vision. Good communication is the foundation on which all successful relationships are built - we live by this adage.

Once the project is finished we won't disappear. We're always here if you have a question, need help with maintenance, or, if you're looking to tackle the next part of your dream build.

John has always been drawn to building. Developing an idea into a vision, a vision into discrete plans, and problem solving on the way to a finished product. He left the world of digital marketing to start a tiny home business, has learned from a master builder in Anza, CA, Louis Demartino, and taken the learnings to begin building here at ACDC.

Problem solving and progress are Tim's favorite part of the building process. Seeing things transform keep Tim inspired throughout the building process, from conception to completion. Having most recently worked in land conservation, Tim enjoys working with the landscape to create spaces that allow us to thrive in and appreciate our environments without compromising them.
